| Bioshield produces shrimp vaccine additives which is put into shrimp feed to prevent white spot disease. Shrimp export is one of Thailand's most important industries. However, the ravages of factory farming methods of shrimp are threatening to destroy the shrimp industry in the same way that Avian Bird Flu is currently jeopardizing Thai chicken exports. In particular, there is a direct threat from White Spot Disease, which can destroy entire shrimp ponds in seven days. |
