The "Market for Alternative Investment (mai)" was established under The Securities Exchange of Thailand Act. The mai’s purpose is to create new fund-raising opportunities for innovative business with high potential growth as well as provide a greater range of investment alternatives. Since its launch in 1999, 45 companies have joined mai raising more than Baht 4.7 billion through initial public offerings (IPO). This capital has helped mai-listed companies to pursue their ambitions.

Sasin was founded some 23 years ago in a collaboration among the pre-eminent in Thailand, Chulalingkorn University and what were to become two of the leading business schools in the world – the Kellogg School of Management and the Wharton School.
This Sasin management education collaboration pioneered the use of world-class visiting professors, complemented by full-time Sasin faculty and other experts in Southeast Asia. Sasin launched the first graduate management programs in Thailand taught completely in English, and continues to provide world-class management education.

The new business emphasizes on the areas of expertise that has been the strength of Kiatnakin Bank which includes Consumer Loan, Residential Project Loan, and Commercial and Industrial Loan for certain business segment (e.g. transportation, packaging, printing, etc.).
